Learning optimization with Deep learing

We built a fully automated (labview based) laser tracking system to track and target any moving objects. The response time (from object detection to laser targeting)of the system is 20ms.
We use a computer vision assay to monitor and tracking both male and female in the arena. The position information of the male fly will be use to control two sets of galvo mirrors to guild the training laser target position (on male fly's head). When the distance between two flies is smaller then 3.5mm, the laser shutter will be opened and the laser will shot the male fly until it run away from the female.
Virgin male fly will be punished by laser when it approach the virgin female fly in the arena until it learns not to.
Pain circuit is the key neurocircuit response to laser punishment, which is the unconditional stimuli in this assay.
